Vintage AKOYA Cultured PEARL Hand-knotted NECKLACE 6mm Sterling Silver 17.75″

I believe this necklace is fairly old, maybe 1930s to 50s?. I know next to nothing about pearls besides the recent research I've done for this necklace. I gather that it is not uncommon for an Akoya pearl necklace of this age to be made of less high-quality pearls, in which category I would say these fall.

Vintage 14-18mm Gray Black White Baroque Pearl V Necklace 14k 17.75” Tahitian

This stunning estate necklace came out of Washington, DC. It is 17.75 inches long and 14k gold (marked 585). The pearls are approx.. 14-18mm long – each one is different – white, gray, black with beautiful iridescence and center pearl at the bottom of the V is gray with a bit if a champagne color. Truly stunning and in great condition. See all photos.
