The design is built around the idea of Nicolaus Copernicus about the structure of the Universe, which in the 16th century made a real revolution in human consciousness - the Sun is in the center of the Solar System, and the Earth and the Moon revolve around it (and not vice versa, as previously thought).

It was founded by Peter the Great in 1721 as the Peterhof Lapidary Works to make hardstone carvings. Raketa watches were produced for the Red Army, the Soviet Navy, for North Pole expeditions, as well as for civilians.
