These brooches were made in Rostov the Great in USSR in 1980s (Russia). They are completely hand painted. The process of making this type of enamel work is very complicated. After each color the jewelry must be fired in a special oven then cooled off and painted with the next color. This process is repeated as many times as there are colors on the jewelry piece.
