This is a circa 1960's, Navajo Indian, hand cast sterling silver, hallmarked on the spring ring, Tomahawk pendant necklace. it shined up beautifully and is in mint condition. the clasp works securely.
My silver tester is not sophisticated enough to distinguish coin silver (900) from sterling (925)...the cuff is one of the two. Inside measures 2 3/8" side to side...1 3/4" up and down...weighs just over 20 grams
I have always love Sand cast silver and I got this one 25 yrs ago. Sand casting and tufa casting are. Artisans hand-carve a design into sandstone or volcanic tufa stone, pour molten sterling silver into the mold, and hand-finish the substantial, textured final piece.
